SAVE THE WHALESHARK CLIENT : WILDLIFE TRUST OF INDIA |
|||
A Dinosaur-like ridges, spots and stripes and a body that can grow as long as 18 meters! The Whale Shark - the largest living fish in the world that travels several thousand miles each year to the coast of Gujarat, to breed! Titled THE HOMECOMING this film was produced for the Wildlife Trust of India as part of a campaign spearheaded to protect and preserve the Whale Shark, an endangered species. A life-size inflatable whale shark christened ‘Vhali’ (a term of endearment meaning ‘the dear one’ in Gujarati) was created and traveled along the coast providing a backdrop to street plays performed to spread awareness. This, in turn, was the backdrop of the film! We chose to write & compose a song about Vhali so that it could work even as a stand alone communication in audio as well as audio-visual format. The song worked just the way we had wanted it to! |
