ON THE HOUR IDENTS

Every bulletin on the hour was branded by the time at which it was being aired. There were two avenues open to us – either go the 3D route or work out something different. We chose the latter. Time lapse sequences at various cities were shot for each ID, reflecting the time of the day it was going to be aired. Over each of these, a ‘clock’ was carefully and cleverly composited such that it looked part of the location. The results were stunning and left viewers wondering how they had missed the clock on their visit to the location!
