KHALSA 300 CLIENT : NAGARA TRUST, INDIA |
|||
A 30-min documentary on the birth of the Khalsa commissioned by the Nagaara Trust. This was shown at a special function to commemorate the tercentenary of the Khalsa Panth & is now available as a videotape. A 10-min version of the same was being screened at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. This film was subsequently purchased by the Discovery Channel and is screened by them frequently. The film required us to shoot extensively in Punjab – visiting the Sikh places of worship, a process that increased our admiration for the religion manifold! It also required us to re-create the history of the panth which gave birth to a lot of creativity during the production! We needed to use a lot of graphics too. In keeping with the nature and feel of the film, we composited the plates on Photoshop using stills from the video. |
